First outdoor lists released; Lugo sets Freshman record
The first outdoor lists of the season have been released. This list is one of the shortest ever released and is the first without any throwers from Rhode Island (because Rhode Island has yet to have any meets). The list will likely include more throwers as they start their outdoor seasons over the next few weeks.
Arianna Lugo (Los Altos, Havienda Heights, CA) threw a new national Freshman class record two weeks ago at the Ben Brown Invitational at Cal State-Fullerton. Her throw of 143'09" broke Kate Johnston's (Warick Veterans Memorial, RI) record of 141'03" from 1998. Lugo already has the national freshman class weight throw record.
